Announcing the grand opening on Wednesday 28th of August starting at 6 PM. Open hours mon-fri 17-20, sat-sun 12-18. Collaborating artists: Pekka & Teija Isorättyä, Jyrki Nissinen, Jarno Latva-Nikkola, Aapo Rapi, Julia Jäntti, Risto Puurunen, Maippi Ketola & Harri Vähänissi, Juhani Marjanen and Tuomo Vuoteenoma.
Avantgarde Vekkula is a concept exhibition operating on level of its own. The exhibition transcents playfully in between naivistic installations, kinetic sculptures, dreamy aural ambiences and live performances. The common feature of the artworks is handmade, hilarius grip on subject. Free entrance to the exhibition, live evenings 5€. Up to date schedules may be seen at

The exhibition is organized by Kinobox ry, an association based in Helsinki, Finland. Its repertoire includes various aural and visual arts and is organising performance happenings and tours in Finland and all over the world. The exhibition is curated by Tuomo Vuoteenoma. The No Grata - performance group, Diverse Universe tour will stop in Helsinki on Sunday 27.5. A disused train tunnel in Vallila valley. You can jump off tram number 7 at the Mäkelänrinne swimming hall stop and walk among the valley of the Vallila in the direction of the creek about 300m. After that, you have to turn right along the path to the woods and tunnel at the bottom of the hill right below the swimming center. At the route, you can find the pending hop on hop off Kinobox Obscura 3D camera obscura bike "Silver Shadow Mk 2" between the stop and event location.
